On 26th July, 2005, as we were seated on a sun-blushed grassy hill, overlooking a dense pine forest,
Premasagar looked into my eyes with a piercing gaze and asked me to
marry him.I said yes. I kind of knew it was coming, I just didn't know when.
Two and a half months later and the wedding day (5th November) is fast approaching.
It sounds strange, but these days, when people see freedom and commitment as a far cry from each other, I feel like a revolutionary deciding to marry in my early twenties.
Prem and I have known each other for nearly 4 years. We met at a meditation retreat in the Peak District and over the years our friendship has become ever stronger.
Spirituality is at the core of our life together. I feel that when we take the marriage oaths on our wedding day we will be entering into a powerful partnership. A partnership in which we are both striving to feel more and more strongly our connection with the Supreme and to move human society towards realising its true potential. This is our dharma, the essence that guides us as we walk the path together.
